Sometimes things just don't work out the way you think they will. And sometimes that is just a prelude to what you are really looking for. The weather maps showed perfect conditions for a colorful sunset this Saturday night. I wanted reflections so I headed out to Meadow Pond in Gilmanton NH knowing that this time of year there would be plenty of lily pads to add interest to the reflections.
The bright colors never materialized but the subtle colors I captured are just as good (almost).
