Artist's Description
I was up before the sun this morning, which is not as hard to do in October as it was in July, and thought it has been a while since shooting a sunrise. Looking outside the eastern sky was clear, stars glowing in the pre-dawn light. The moon shone brightly in the western sky with a few wispy clouds passing under it.
I decided to go out anyway. Ten minutes later, coffee in hand, I was in my truck heading up the hill. I arrived at my destination about twenty minutes after my first look out at the clear sky, but by now a band of clouds had crossed the sky providing a pallet for the sun's early light.
